My name is Nicola and I am a qualified Canine Behaviour Practitioner based in Greater Manchester. I can help you with a wide range of issues from basic obedience and house training through to aggression problems.
I have always been a dog lover since being a little girl and know how important they are to people and that they are valued family members. Living with a dog should be a wonderful experience for both you and for your dog. If this isn't the case for you due to your dog's behaviour, then I would love to be able to help you and your dog to be able to live in harmony together.
My methods are based on positive reinforcement techniques and I am strongly against any dominance-based physical techniques. My goal is to make both yours and your dog's life easier by getting inside your dog's mind to find out why they are acting a particular way and using my knowledge of how dog's think and learn to put a plan in place for you.
There is no "magic wand" solution, I will equip you with the knowledge and tools needed but the work has to come from you to follow the plan I will give you and I will be there to support you after the initial consultation by phone and email at no additional charge.
Read on below to find out what Services I offer. I hope to hear from you soon.
Behaviour consultations are designed to help with a wide range of issues which go beyond simple obedience problems. Examples of issues where a dog would benefit from a behaviour consultation include:
Aggression (to people or dogs)
Reactivity on lead (barking/lunging)
Separation anxiety
Phobias e.g. fireworks, thunder, vaccum cleaner
House soiling
Destructive chewing
This list is not exhaustive, please contact me to discuss the problem behaviour you are experiencing with your dog.
What to expect at your consultation
It is recommended that all family members (both human and animal) are present at the consultation. The session will last up to 3 hours and will involve me speaking with you and family members (if applicable) to find out more about the issue.
I will observe your dog and we will go for a walk (this is helpful no matter what the issue). I will then give a summary of the cause of the issue and the advice to follow including some practical exercises to do with your dog.
After the consultation, you will receive a full written report. You will also receive lifetime advice by phone/email (related to the particular issue).
I will contact you two weeks after the consultation to see how you are getting on. A follow up in-person session is not always required but if it is, will be charged as below.
Prices
Initial consultation - £150 (up to 3 hours including full report and lifetime phone/email advice)
Follow up consultation - £50 (1 hour)

What to expect at your training session
The session will last 1 hour 30 minutes and will involve me demonstrating to you the relevant training exercises with time for you to practice.
After the session, you will receive a written summary of what i have shown you. You can have one session, or I can return for follow up sessions if you feel you need more practice working with me.
